Save and Restore
The SAVE AND RESTORE link of the SYSTEM INFORMATION page allows you to configure
S
AVE AND RESTORE options through the following control tabs:
•Save
•Restore
•Erase
Save
Clicking the SAVE tab from the SAVE AND RESTORE link brings up the SAVE
C
ONFIGURATION page (Figure 7-6). This page allows you to save the essential
configuration as a F
LASH save. You can also configure the IP address of a remote
machine with a file name to be stored for remote saving.
After saving the configuration, the mode of restore must be set in the R
ESTORE page.
For the R
EMOTE SAVE option, the saved configuration file must be copied to the flash file
and its restore must be set as F
LASH RESTORE to restore the configuration if you restart
of switch.
